The close collaboration between Apple and Belkin on Vision Pro accessories continues: following the official battery holder for the headset and a new additional headband, the company is now launching its own travel case. This is also sold exclusively via Apple and is an alternative to the Vision Pro manufacturer's travel case, which is significantly more expensive.
Slightly more compact and with carrying strap
Belkin is a subsidiary of the Taiwanese Foxconn Group, the most important manufacturer of iPhones. Over the past few decades, it has repeatedly been an early mover with some important Apple accessories, which often appear to be the result of direct cooperation with Cupertino. This also seems to have been the case with the new Belkin Travel Bag for Apple Vision Pro. Its dimensions are reminiscent of Apple's "original", but it is somewhat more compact. It also comes with a carrying strap.

However, the idea is to store the case in a rucksack. There is space for the battery and other accessories. The base is padded and there is a separate AirTag compartment to hide a tracker. According to the pictures from Belkin, however, the headband should be removed, which is not necessary with Apple's Travel Case. Nylon is specified as the material. The price in the EU is 119.95 euros (US price without tax: 99.95 US dollars). For comparison: Apple's travel case costs 219 euros from the manufacturer.
Changes in Vision Pro marketing
Meanwhile, there are reports that Apple wants to change the marketing of the Vision Pro in its retail stores. In Apple Retail Stores without a separate area for the headset, the hardware will now only be sold to customers at one table and no longer at two tables. As Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman writes on Threads, this is currently still a pilot project.
Instead of one table for demos and one table for exhibits, in future there will be just one table that fulfills both tasks. Apple had equipped its larger stores with special areas for the Vision Pro, for example, with completely separate seating just for the demos, including special storage areas for the headset. Changes are apparently not planned here.
