Arch Linux does not always make things easy for its users. The Archinstall tool at least makes it much easier to set up the system.

Archinstall is now available in version 3.0.0. The free installer for Arch Linux is equipped with a new TUI that enables more complex layouts than before. However, the previous look and feel should be retained. The Python curses library is used to render the new interface.

In contrast to the conventional Arch installation via CLI, Archinstall offers a guided step-by-step installation. In the new version, the installer also warns if the UEFI is deactivated, explicitly removes LUKS partitions and offers support for Ruff. The update also includes several bug fixes, including the automatic reloading of the mirror after an error.
