New MR games for the Vision Pro: "Gears & Goo" and "Little Cities"
Purple Yonder and Resolution Games AB are distributing two new titles for the Apple headset via the Arcade subscription service.

More gaming fun on the Vision Pro: two well-known gaming studios have announced new titles for the Apple headset that use its mixed reality (MR) capabilities. "Little Cities: Diorama" and "Gears & Goo" will be distributed directly via Apple's in-house gaming platform Arcade and are therefore part of the 6.99 euro per month subscription service. However, it will still be a few weeks before they are available.
Building game or relaxation
In "Little Cities: Diorama", which will be available on December 5, the aim is to build a small city in your own home. The title is a collaboration between Purple Yonder, the original developer of "Little Cities", and MR specialist Near Light, a studio belonging to nDreams. "Little Cities" was first released in 2022 and won various awards, and was also previously available for Meta Quest.

The makers of the construction game promise "intuitive gesture control". The title can also be used purely for relaxation if desired, in which case you can simply explore the surroundings – including the biome, accompanied by a "blissful soundtrack". If you really want to gamble, you can place industry, stores, apartments and landmarks on your own island. Thanks to mixed reality, the playing field can also be placed on the living room table if desired.
Tower defense on the Vision Pro
"Gears & Goo" comes from Resolution Games AB and will (probably) land on the Vision Pro on January 9. The title is a mixed reality take on a tower defense game principle and allows you to lead a "lusty army of sodarians" into battle in your own home. "Command your workers to gather resources, man turrets and send out waves of quirky troops as you strategically deploy thrusts and unleash chaos on the battlefield," the game description floridly states. "Gears & Goo" is an exclusive title for the Vision Pro and, at least according to the first screenshots, offers an interesting hustle and bustle on the headset.
Anyone interested in both games can also test Apple Arcade for a month as a free trial subscription. The gaming service is also part of Apple's One package, which includes various other services including iCloud storage space.
