Personality tests are not only popular with teenagers. Instead of finding out whether you are more of an autumn or winter type, the nerdy online test Particle Identities tells you which elementary particle suits you best. Do you like parties or do you prefer to be on your own? Are you an optimist or a pessimist? After just three to six questions, you can find out whether you are an electron, Higgs boson or neutrino. You also learn something about particle physics in the process: some particles are heavier than others, some are electrically charged, others have a color charge and are therefore influenced by the strong interaction.

The website is a project of CERN and its S'Cool LAB, a learning laboratory for particle physics for pupils and teachers. The colorful illustrations of the particles are by The Particlezoo, a small Minneapolis-based company that sells elementary particle stuffed animals and other nerdy products.
