Apple Intelligence available for iWork
Apple has now also integrated its system-wide AI functions into its Office applications – but only in certain regions.

Apple's integration of AI features into apps and operating systems continues: the new versions of the iWork apps that have recently become available have now been given Apple Intelligence access. As usual, the Office programs Pages, Numbers and Keynote are available for macOS, iOS and iPadOS and can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store. As before, however, there are restrictions on regions and languages.
Create, modify and correct texts
Pages has now reached version 14.3 on iPhone, iPad and Mac. A total of three Apple Intelligence functions have been released for word processing: The Writing Tools to "correct, revise, summarize, or compose text for your document," as Apple writes, the Image Playground feature to create images (albeit only in the form of drawings and comic-like representations), and the ability to contact ChatGPT to answer questions about document content and use other OpenAI features.
The spreadsheet application Numbers has now reached version 14.3 for iPhone, iPad and Mac and also works with text and images (Writing Tools, Image Playground) and can call ChatGPT. Apple's PowerPoint competitor Keynote is now available in version 14.3 fĂĽr iPhone and iPad and Mac. Here you can edit texts in presentations with the Writing Tools and insert images with Image Playground. ChatGPT is also available here on request if the Apple tools are not sufficient.

Closer integration should bring faster access
As usual, Apple Intelligence requires the US English language setting on the iPhone and iPad – and an App Store account from the USA. On the Mac, the US English language setting is sufficient. Apple Intelligence (unlike ChatGPT) does not yet work with German. Image Playground and Writing Tools were already available in the operating system, but the integration into iWork is now closer and faster to access. Apple Intelligence will not be available in German until spring 2025.
Keynote is also available for Apple's Vision Pro and has also been updated. Information on the new features was not initially available in the App Store. However, it is unlikely to be Apple Intelligence, as the headset does not yet have access to it, which is likely to remain the case despite the use of the M2 SoC. Apple Intelligence has recently been criticized due to oddities in the summary of notifications.
