Asus is presenting three new NUCs with Intel processors at CES 2025: NUC 15 Pro, NUC 15 Pro+ and NUC 14 Pro AI+. A fourth, already announced, will finally go on sale: the standard NUC 14 Pro AI. A fifth Mini PC with an AMD processor will appear as the Expertcenter PN54.

The NUC 15 Pro+ comes exclusively with Intel's new CPUs from the Core Ultra 200H (Arrow Lake) series. The options range from the 14-core Core Ultra 5 225H to the 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H – including the two low-power efficiency cores.

The fastest NUC 15 Pro without Plus is equipped with the Core Ultra 7 265H; it is only 100 MHz slower than the 285H. Those interested need to pay attention at the bottom: Asus also offers the mini PC with the Core 200H and Core 100U (each without Ultra!) – used for this is the old "Raptor Lake" generation.

Aside from the processors, the NUC 15 Pro+ and NUC 15 Pro differ in their housing. The Plus version is partly made of aluminum. The cooling should be quieter than in other models. The normal NUC 15 Pro is optionally available in a higher version with space for a 2.5-inch data carrier. Both versions can be opened without tools.

Both NUCs accommodate two PCI Express 4.0 SSDs and transmit via Wi-Fi 7. There is one Ethernet port each with 2.5 Gbit/s. Also included: two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) Type A port and one USB 2.0 Type A port.

Two SO-DIMM slots can accommodate DDR5-6400 memory bars. Asus advertises support for up to 192 GB of RAM, but there are not yet any SO-DIMMs with the required capacity of 96 GB.

Asus presented the NUC 14 Pro AI back in September 2024. Delivery is now set to start. The main distinguishing feature: Lunar Lake processors (Core Ultra 200V) are installed inside. They only have eight CPU cores, but a significantly faster AI unit. To allow Asus to call the model Copilot+-PC, the manufacturer has added a Copilot button to the front of the case.

The revised NUC 14 Pro AI+ is technically largely identical, but integrates an E-Ink color display on the lid. This is designed to display images or logos for personalization, even when the mini PC is switched off.

Asus continues to call Mini PCs with AMD equipment Expertcenter. The new PN54 uses AMD's recently introduced "Krackan Point" mid-range processors Ryzen AI 7 350 and Ryzen AI 5 340 with eight and six CPU cores respectively. There is also a co-pilot button on the front of the housing.

Officially, the PN54 only supports 64 GB of DDR5 RAM in the form of two SO-DIMMs. There is also space for two PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The connections include one USB4, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s), two Displayport 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports and one or two 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports.

The various Mini PCs should go on sale in the coming weeks. Asus does not mention prices in the announcement.
