iPhone SE 4 dummy without action button and in iPhone 14 look
What will Apple's next entry-level iPhone look like? The first dummies for case manufacturers are now circulating in Asia.
iPhone SE 4 in dummy form: Realistic or not?

It shouldn't be long before Apple unveils the fourth generation of the iPhone SE. The rumor mill is currently assuming that the time will come in spring, with March or April being a suitable date. There has already been some speculation about the possible form factor. The device, which will feature face recognition (Face ID) for the first time, is said to look a little like the iPhone 14. Device dummies that have now surfaced in Asia suggest this.
Rather unspectacular phone
The X leaker Sonny Dickson has shared several images on the short message service. They show the back and a side section. The back comes with just one camera, which is said to have 48 megapixels, with a microphone and flash next to it. One side view unfortunately shows spectacular little: the regular mute button in the form of a slide switch meets volume (up, down) and a SIM slot.

This would mean that Apple has not added an action button to the iPhone SE 4, which has also been referred to as the “iPhone 16E” (or 16e) meanwhile. That would be a shame, as Apple would still have a device without the additional button on the market and thus miss out on standardization in the current models. Dickson does not provide any further details on the two images.
iPhone SE 4 with Apple Intelligence
Unfortunately, the dummy images do not show the front of the iPhone SE 4. Here you could see how Apple might install its True Depth module. It is currently assumed that it will be a notch and not a Dynamic Island, i.e., a notch in the casing. Otherwise, the iPhone SE 4 is said to be equipped with a faster chip (A17 Pro) and more RAM (8 GB) to support Apple Intelligence.
It is unclear how reliable the dummies are. The non-functional mockups are produced by special manufacturers so that other companies from the accessories industry can use them to customize their products, especially manufacturers of iPhone cases. It is unclear where the manufacturers got the specific dimensions from; some of them may simply be using the latest rumors as a guide. Other dummy manufacturers actually have insider information from Apple's supply chain.
