Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 Ti to be released on February 20

There are apparently two dates for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti: The first tests are to appear one day before the sales launch on February 20.

Three weeks after the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080, the little sister GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is set to be released. According to rumors, it will go on sale on February 20. The day before this date, test reports on the versions that go on sale at Nvidia's recommended retail price of 879 euros may be published.

According to Videocardz, tests on overclocked graphics cards with extensive cooling constructions – but also higher prices – may only be published together with the official sales launch. In the case of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, Nvidia itself is not releasing its Founders Edition. If you want to buy at the recommended retail price, you must therefore choose a model from a partner manufacturer.

Interested parties should read or look at test reports on the loudness of these variants in particular: In addition to comparatively simple coolers, manufacturers also like to install cheap voltage converters here, which can tend to whine.

No information on the GeForce RTX 5070

The release date of the GeForce RTX 5070 remains unknown. Nvidia only roughly mentioned February for both 70-series graphics cards, without a specific date. The two top models GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 can be sold by retailers from January 30th. However, availability is expected to be poor at the beginning.

As usual, heise online and c't will not receive any test samples in advance because we do not sign Nvidia's general NDA. Our test reports will therefore be published with a delay as soon as the graphics cards are available independently.

Meanwhile, Nvidia has not yet announced RTX 5000 graphics cards below the 600 euro mark. The first rumors of a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti are currently circulating based on trade documents, which, like its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti, could be released with 8 and 16 GB of memory. However, these are only reserved names for now – the models do not necessarily have to appear with these names and memory sizes.
