Vision Pro cover protects front display during operation
Anyone who is afraid of bumping into something with their Apple headset or damaging the external screen in some other way can now use a special case.
Aperture by dbrand for Vision Pro: Looks strange, but works.

Apple's Vision Pro is expensive and comparatively sensitive. The augmented and virtual reality headset, which is available from 4000 euros, has numerous sensors and cameras as well as a screen on the outside. This is unprotected as long as the device is in place: An included anti-dust attachment is only intended to protect the device when it is switched off. If you want to prevent damage to the Vision Pro during operation, you can now buy a special accessory for this purpose: A high-durometer-level polyurethane cover with a special pattern that allows all sensors and cameras to continue to have a clear view.
Insect eye, I see you!
The product comes from smartphone accessory specialist dbrand, which collaborated on the design with designer Kyle Goodrich, who presented the idea on Twitter a year ago. The dbrand case bears the product name Aperture and is available in two colors – black and orange –.

The shape of the holes is reminiscent of insect eyes, which is why dbrand jokingly warns against trypophobia, but is precisely matched to the sensor placement of the Vision Pro. However, when the protective cover is attached, the EyeSight external display is no longer fully visible, but this should only bother a few users, as the usefulness of the function is controversial anyway.
Package with battery case
The price of the Aperture Faceplate, as it is known, is 49 US dollars. However, it is currently not possible to order the individual product, and the dbrand website only lists the orange version. On the other hand, a combination of the Aperture Faceplate and a holder for the external Vision Pro battery is already available. This set is available for 69 dollars and is also offered in black. The look of the battery cover corresponds to that of the protective cover – with an airy design and rounded holes. There is also an integrated holder for a jacket, trousers or hoodie.
According to manufacturer dbrand, the Aperture products are a "limited production run". The company does not expect to produce the accessories again "unless sales of the Apple Vision Pro suddenly increase tenfold". The Aperture battery case will probably not be produced again either, and there are still no plans to offer it individually. "So buy the package if you want one." Delivery to Germany is free of charge, import sales tax may be added.
