With important security update: macOS 15.3.2 and iOS 18.3.2 available
Apple updated all major operating systems except watchOS and HomePod OS on Wednesday night. There are fixes and a plugged hole.

For users of iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro and Apple TV, important updates are waiting in the software update in the system settings: Apple presented updates late on Tuesday evening. These are not feature updates, but bug fixes – including at least one serious security vulnerability.
Streaming problem and old vulnerability
According to Apple, iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2 contain “important bug fixes and security updates” and are intended to fix a problem that prevented the playback of “certain streaming content” – Apple did not provide more details on exactly which ones and when. Furthermore, a security vulnerability in the WebKit browser engine, which is used by Safari among others, but is also found in other iOS and iPadOS browsers, has been fixed.

This is an out-of-bounds flaw with the CVE ID 2025-24201, which Apple claims to have discovered itself. It allows malicious attackers to break out of the web content sandbox via a manipulated website. It is therefore an “additional fix” for a problem that was already fixed in iOS 17.2 from the year before last. Apple had received reports of attacks by state-sponsored hackers who were after “specific[ally] targeted individuals”, apparently from the political sphere. It remains unclear why Apple is only now closing the gap.
Old macOS versions get new Safari
macOS 15.3.2 again contains unspecified bug fixes plus the fix for the WebKit bug. macOS Ventura (13) and Sonoma (14) receive a simple Safari update to version 18.3.1.
Apple also released visionOS 2.3.2, which fixes the streaming issue from iOS and iPadOS, as well as the WebKit bug. Finally, tvOS 18.3.1 is also available for download, which is intended for the third generation of the Apple TV 4K. Apple is not revealing anything about the content here, but there are no security-related fixes. All updates should be installed as quickly as possible to avoid potential attacks. They require a restart on all systems, except for Ventura and Sonoma, as the Safari update is sufficient here.
