Ryzen 9 9950X3D: AMD's top AM5 model almost available at RRP
AMD's Ryzen CPUs perform better than the Radeon GPUs – The two Ryzen 9 9000X3D cost only slightly more than AMD recommends.

AMD's market launch of the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X went refreshingly smoothly. Both processors are available from several German retailers. However, most of them are not yet adhering to AMD's recommended retail price (RRP).
The new top model Ryzen 9 9950X3D (starting from 649 €) should actually cost 769 euros, while the Ryzen 9 9900X3D (starting from 564,99 €) should cost 659 euros. Galaxus is currently the only retailer to stick to the RRP, and only for the 12-core model. Notebooksbilliger is closest to the 16-core.
After AMD presented the eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D at the end of October 2024, it was hard to find for months and consequently hundreds of euros overpriced. The processor is currently still 30 euros above AMD's 529 euro RRP (starting from 433,20 €).
All X3D models have 64 MB of additional level 3 cache, which can increase the frame rate, especially in latency-critical games. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the first choice for gaming alone. If you also need high performance in applications, go for a Ryzen 9.

No goods at Mindfactory
It is striking that Mindfactory no longer offers any current Ryzen processors, nor almost any Radeon graphics cards. Until recently, Mindfactory was still AMD's closest store partner in Germany. Rumors are circulating that Mindfactory could be insolvent due to back taxes due.
However, despite rumors, there has been no official announcement of insolvency for two weeks. Mindfactory also adds new hardware to its range from time to time, including GeForce graphics cards from the RTX 5000 series.
