Electric car Hyundai Ioniq 6 facelift: rear end visually toned down
A few changes to the body and handling are intended to keep the Ioniq 6 electric car from Hyundai attractive. Hyundai hasn't changed the drive or chassis.

At the Seoul Mobility Show 2025 in South Korea, Hyundai is presenting the revised Ioniq 6. For the first time, it is also being offered in a sporty version as the Ioniq 6 N Line. After just two years on the market, the changes are mainly limited to the bodywork, which has been fine-tuned to improve the aerodynamics and, according to the manufacturer, the attractiveness.
Essentially, it is a raised hood and an extension of the body. Hyundai does not specify how much the shape differs from the current one. For the sake of elegance, Hyundai has lengthened the rear spoiler for a “softer and more elegant silhouette”, but it should still offer the same “aerodynamic performance” as before. After all, our colleague Christoph M. Schwarzer wrote in our first test about the almost 4.90 m long 2023 body: “Really pretty? — The design language is provocative, no question.” Range and charging speed proved to be superior in our test, and yet we expect progress to be made in these parameters. As in the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, the energy content of the batteries and the maximum charging capacity should also increase slightly in the saloon.
Spoiler speculation
What Hyundai promises about the redesign sounds above all like good news for those who previously found the exterior, especially the rear, too unconventional. However, the manufacturer has not yet released any meaningful images of it. As far as can be seen, it is now a somewhat more conventionally designed spoiler, only extended to the rear in the middle. The edges pointing downwards at the sides, on the other hand, remain relatively short. However, this is a part attached to the “N” version, above which a wing can be seen. The lower part of the “civilian” Ioniq 6 without the wing spoiler could have a similar design.

)The modifications to the interior are primarily intended to make operation more comfortable and intuitive. Hyundai aims to achieve this with a redesigned steering wheel and a center console that has been redesigned for better functionality. The Korean manufacturer promises increased user-friendliness with the help of an enlarged display for the air conditioning system.
Dynamic N Line version
As the Ioniq 6 N Line, the front, rear, and side sills of the car have been designed with a strong emphasis on sporty aerodynamics. This is intended to make it appear lower, as Hyundai writes. The aforementioned rear wing is new. Hyundai has not announced whether the N-Line equipment with double spoiler will also come to Europe. It is to be presented in July of this year.

Hyundai is not providing any information on fuel consumption for the planned market launch of the revised Ioniq 6 in Europe, nor for the 6 N version. The continuation of the 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and 8 year warranty on the traction battery can be assumed to be as good as set for a German offer. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 currently costs 43,900 euros with a 53 kWh battery, 111 kW and rear-wheel drive, and 52,900 euros with 77.4 kWh, 239 kW and all-wheel drive. Hyundai has not yet given any indication of the price of the revised model.
