Razr 60 Ultra and Razr 60: New foldables from Motorola

The Razr 60 series lines up side by side with Motorola's Edge 60 devices, which are also new. The two small foldables look similar, but follow different approaches. The Razr 60 Ultra relies on a powerful processor, the Razr 60 on a – small price for foldables –.

Motorola has built one of the most powerful smartphone processors currently available, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, into the Razr 60 Ultra. The eight-core processor has access to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage space. This puts the foldable, which costs just under 1300 euros, at the absolute high-end level in this respect.

Motorola has made few changes to the design compared to the Razr 50 Ultra. Once again, the 4-inch front display surrounds the two cameras and covers almost the entire front of the smartphone. Inside, the Razr 60 Ultra sports a 7-inch OLED display in 22:9 format. The IP48 dust and water-protected housing comes in dark red, black, magenta and gray-brown.

The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has three 50-megapixel cameras: a main camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera at the back, and a selfie cam on the inside. The 4700 mAh battery charges with up to 68 watts via cable and up to 30 watts wirelessly with the corresponding charging cradle. Motorola includes a 68-watt power adapter with USB cable in the box with the smartphone.

Motorola Razr 60 weaker and lighter

With a price of 800 euros, the Razr 60 is significantly cheaper than the Ultra. In addition to a slightly smaller front display with a diagonal of 3.6 inches, the processor is primarily responsible for the lower price: The Mediatek Dimensity 7400X is a mid-range chip and does not match the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Ultra. In addition, the Razr 60 only has 8 GB of RAM installed. Nevertheless, this should easily be enough for decent performance in everyday use.

The internal display of the Razr 60 is 6.9 inches in size and therefore slightly smaller than the screen of the Ultra with the same external dimensions. This is due to the slightly thicker edges. Here, too, Motorola has installed an OLED panel with a 120 Hertz refresh rate. The main camera of the Razr 60 also takes photos with 50 megapixels, while the ultra-wide angle stops at 13 megapixels. The Razr 60 records videos in a maximum of 4K, while the Ultra is capable of 8K. The selfie cam has a 32-megapixel sensor. The battery of the Razr 60, which is sealed to IP48 like the Ultra, is slightly smaller and holds 4500 mAh. This makes the phone 11 grams lighter than the Ultra. Motorola offers the Razr 60 in four colors: Lime green, dark blue, pale pink and gray.

Two new wearables are coming

In addition to the two foldables, Motorola is also launching two new wearables on the market. The Moto Buds Loop open-ear headphones, which feature sound technology from Bose, cost 150 euros. If you want the luxury version with Swaroski stones and bling-bling factor, you'll pay twice as much. The Moto Watch Fit is a hybrid of smartwatch and fitness tracker and costs 80 euros.
