Overview: These Apple products for 2025 could still be coming
Despite US tariffs and other annoyances, Apple's pipeline of new products is well filled. An overview of the most important innovations we can expect in 2025.

After the iPhone 16e, the iPad Air M3 and the iPad 11 as well as the MacBook Air M4 and the Mac Studio with M3 Ultra and M5 Max, Apple has a whole range of other products in the pipeline for this year. An overview of various new hardware that can be expected by December – should production problems or the new US tariffs not cause difficulties for the company.
Macs with M5 (and M4 or M3) and iPad Pro M5
Apple has not yet brought two product categories of Macs up to date. Professionals have been waiting a long time for a new Mac Pro. The workstation is currently “stuck” with the M2 Ultra and was last updated almost two years ago. As Apple is unlikely to raise the M4 to Ultra level, the company could opt for the M3 Ultra from the current Mac Studio. Whether there will be further hardware changes, such as a modified housing, remains unclear – but there are currently no rumors. The new machine is conceivable in the summer (quick announcement at WWDC) or by December.

In terms of portable Macs, the first MacBook Pro with M5 SoC is expected in the fall. The main focus here is on product maintenance with a (slightly) faster chip. However, Apple has probably only planned an OLED display and a possible redesign for 2026 – also in the fall. Another interesting question is whether a new iPad Pro with M5 will come before the MacBook Pro M5. Apple ventured down this path for the first time last year with the iPad Pro M4. It was released in May, so the company still has some time if it wants to keep to an annual cycle. Alternatively, a new iPad Pro could also be released in the fall.
iPhones, accessories, Vision Pro
As usual, it's the turn of the new iPhones in the fall. Four new models are expected. Of particular interest is the possible successor to the Plus model, which many rumor mongers are calling the “iPhone 17 Air” or “iPhone 17 Slim”. It is said to have a particularly thin casing and possibly only a rear camera. A smaller redesign is expected for the Pro models (17 Pro and Pro Max), whereby Apple could change the rear camera area and redesign it in the direction of the Google Pixel. A new standard iPhone 17 model is also expected. All devices will come with (slightly) faster chips, the Apple A19, which will presumably be available again in Pro and standard versions.
In terms of accessories, we are finally expecting new AirTags with more range and hopefully a new Studio Display with MiniLED technology. Apple could also update its Apple TV multimedia box with a faster SoC. Two new Vision products are also conceivable: A lighter version and supposedly one that can also be operated on a Mac (for professional applications). However, it is also conceivable that the devices will not appear until 2026. New HomePod variants or Apple's new “home device” are more likely to appear later. The reason: they are dependent on the improved Siri, which Apple has postponed.
