Before Apple TV+: "F1" will probably only be available as a paid download
Following its theatrical and IMAX release, Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt is likely to first appear on download platforms. Only then will Apple's TV+ follow.

Anyone hoping to be able to watch Apple's latest hit film “F1” with Brad Pitt as soon as possible as part of their Apple TV+ subscription (€10/month) will probably be disappointed. Apple and its production partner Warner Bros. Pictures appear to be planning to make use of all exploitation windows. This includes both regular theaters and (now for the second time) IMAX, as well as paid downloads – and only later the streaming long awaited by fans. According to a new entry on Amazon.de, at least this is now to be expected.
No word on streaming
A few days ago, it was announced that the film will be available to buy “soon”. However, it is still unclear how much the fun will cost – No price is mentioned. However, it is quite conceivable that up to 20 euros will have to be paid for a UHD version. There is no information on Amazon.de as to when exactly sales will start, only “coming soon” and the release year 2025. You can also watch the (German-language) trailer and add the film to your watchlist.

Apple itself has not yet provided any information on when “F1” will be available on Apple TV+. The press section only mentions the theatrical release date of June 27. However, the company is still not providing any information on the streaming release. Rumor has it that September was planned, which would at least fit in with the upcoming iPhone 17 keynote.
Combined pay and TV+ evaluation?
Likewise, it is conceivable that Apple is aiming for parallel paid download and streaming exploitation, but granting the paid download a certain exclusivity. The latter could also be sold on Apple's own movie platform, as the company is still not only focusing on TV+.
However, if the price really is 20 euros for the UHD version, it might make more sense to simply take out a short TV+ trial subscription as soon as the movie has landed on the streaming service. It is not yet clear whether there will also be a physical Blu-ray version of “F1”. This is more likely to interest real movie fans than a DRM download. “F1” has now grossed over half a billion dollars at the box office.
