New iPhones to be unveiled on September 9
Apple sent out the invitation letter for its September event to journalists on Tuesday evening. The date is in line with our expectations.

"Awe dropping" is the title of Apple's next iPhone event. According to the invitation sent to members of the press on Tuesday evening, it will begin on September 9, 2025 (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. West Coast time, i.e. 7 p.m. CET. Apple is also already advertising the event on its own website, including in German. As usual in recent years, it will be an online event that will be streamed live. Selected media will certainly be invited to Cupertino.
Four iPhones, three Apple Watch models
Apple is expected to unveil at least four new iPhone 17 models. In addition to a new standard model with improved internals, two iPhone 17 professional models (Pro and Pro Max) with an optimized and redesigned camera are expected, as well as a new smartphone form factor that may be called the iPhone 17 Air. It is said to be the thinnest iPhone ever, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge. New Apple cases ("TechWoven") are also planned, with the slightly faster A19 chip running inside the devices.

We also expect up to three new Apple Watch models. After two years without any major changes, the Ultra is set to get new sensors and wireless capabilities, and the Series 11 will at least be accelerated. Blood pressure measurements are considered possible, even if only in the form of deviations from standard values. A new entry-level Apple Watch could also be coming, probably with a plastic casing.
More hardware in October
New iPads are unlikely to be released in September –. An iPad 12, an iPad Pro M5 and mini models, of which internal processor leaks have surfaced, are expected this year. As for Macs, Pro models are not expected until next year, but there is hope for a new entry-level MacBook before 2025.
Finally, there could be a new version of the Vision Pro. Apple is more likely to show all these models in October. More likely for "Awe dropping": New AirPods. Whatever Apple unveils: As always, Mac & i and heise online will be reporting with a live ticker.
