New Beats earphones on the way: Powerbeats Fit appears on YouTube
Beats had already shown the Powerbeats Pro 2 for the first time via a video clip – on a celebrity's profile. Now the company is leaking the new earbuds itself.

Beats is starting to get confusing with its naming: the Apple subsidiary has shown off new earbuds called Powerbeats Fit in a 16-second YouTube video. The in-ear earbuds join the Powerbeats Pro 2 and the Beats Fit Pro and appear to be intended as a kind of combination of the two. However, Beats has not yet provided any information on what the Powerbeats Fit can do and where they can be specifically categorized – but it is already clear that they are suitable for sports, as the video shows the earbuds in use during US football training. Beats had already leaked a video of the Powerbeats Pro 2 in advance, which was a short X clip at the time.
Fit Pro out, Powerbeats Fit in?
According to the football video, the Powerbeats Fit have a similar design to the Fit Pro. This means they have a small silicone wing to hold them in the ear. "Fit for every movement" is the Beats slogan. It remains unclear whether the earbuds have active noise cancellation (ANC) and heart rate monitoring, as is the case with the Powerbeats Pro 2. However, the latter function has been criticized as it is not always accurate and only works with certain apps.

The Beats Fit Pro already have ANC, so it remains to be seen what is special about the Powerbeats Fit. It remains unclear whether both models will be offered in parallel or whether the Fit Pro will possibly be replaced by the Powerbeats Fit. They have already been given a Powerbeats Pro 2 color: The striking orange color can be seen in the video. It is already known that the new earbuds will be released in the fall of 2025, presumably in September.
AirPods Pro 3 are also coming
Apple currently sells the Powerbeats Pro 2 for 300 euros, while the Fit Pro are listed at 250 euros. The retail prices are lower. In addition to heart rate measurement, the Powerbeats Pro 2 also come with a silicone strap that can be placed around the ear, which further improves the fit.
New AirPods models are also expected in the fall, in particular the third generation of the Pros. It is conceivable that these will have health functions for the first time. Incidentally, Apple has not officially approved the current AirPods (neither AirPods 4 nor AirPods Pro 2) for sports use – even though many users do.
