Apple expands in Germany: More employees wanted for the capital
Apple has advertised at least nine new jobs in Public Relations and Marketing for Germany. The Berlin location will be strengthened.
There are not only Apple stores like this one on Rosenthaler Strasse in Berlin, Apple Corporate is also on site.

You can see from the outside that Apple has arrived in Berlin: in contrast to a previous corporate location, which was mainly known to insiders, the iPhone manufacturer appears quite normally on the doorbell signs of the former main telegraph office at Monbijou Park in Mitte. Upstairs in the historic building, which houses a hip hotel in the middle section, the company has rented a decent amount of space. And important people for Apple's public image are also on site here. After decades of focusing on Munich, Apple is evidently taking the German capital seriously – even though it is also expanding in Bavaria, for example with a huge center for mobile phone chips.
Product marketing for iPhone and more
The new focus on Berlin is reflected in a current job campaign: at least nine employees have been sought in the areas of marketing and PR for Berlin in recent weeks and months, as Mac & i was able to find on the company's jobs portal. A good half of the positions have apparently already been filled. The product marketing managers for the iPhone in Germany and for iPad, Apple Watch, Audio and Home are to be based in the capital in the future.
Since May, the important position of Country Marcom Manager, Germany has also been advertised for the location. In contrast to many other companies, marketing has an integrative significance at Apple, as can be seen from the fact that the former global head of marketing Phil Schiller also had an important say in the product development process. The Country Marcom Manager will help Apple to adapt its campaigns to the German market – and will hopefully bring local input to Cupertino.

PR and marcom strategy
In the area of public relations, Apple is looking for two PR managers for Germany and Northern Europe, one of whom should be fluent in German and English, while the other should speak at least one of the regional languages in addition to English. Apple has also apparently already recruited a Product Marketing Lead for Berlin, who will also be responsible for identifying market opportunities and helping local teams with product launches.
A Strategy Lead was also sought for the Marcom division to help "shape the future of Apple in Germany". Finally, for communication with Apple's partners, positions were advertised for Communications Lead and Communications Manager, who would deal with retailers and mobile phone partners. Both positions required fluent German and English at a business level.
