Crossbody strap, battery, new case: accessories for iPhone 17 and Air
Apple makes good money with cases and other iPhone accessories. The product range was upgraded for the iPhone 17 launch. There is also something new from Beats.

New material, new lanyard, new bumper – and, as usual, steep prices: Apple has unveiled its range of accessories for the three iPhone 17 models and the iPhone Air. The audio subsidiary Beats will also be involved this year, offering its own iPhone cases right at the launch, as was the case for the first time with the iPhone 16. Apple earns above-average profits from original accessories – The margins are said to be high.
TechWoven is called functional fabric
As the rumor mill had already anticipated , TechWoven is a new case material. This has a special texture to prevent scratches and other damage like its predecessor FineWoven. Incidentally, the latter is not completely gone: confusingly, Apple is launching new MagSafe wallets and AirTag key fobs made from the old "vegan leather". In TechWoven, which is called "functional fabric" (!) in German (FineWoven was called "Feingewebe"), there are cases for the iPhone 17 Pro and the 17 Pro Max. Price: 69 euros each, five colors are available.

Alternatively, there are also silicone cases for the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in six colors for 59 euros. There are also variants for the iPhone 17 in five colors for the same price. Finally, Apple also offers three clear case variants (clear plastic) for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Price: 59 euros. Buyers of the iPhone Air can get a transparent case in two colors ("Frost", "Shadow") for 59 euros or a revived bumper in four colors for 45 euros.
Lanyard and Beats portfolio
The case portfolio can be supplemented in future with the new cross-body strap, also known as the "Crossbody Band". The lanyard fits the new Apple cases, comes with magnetic length adjustment and in no less than ten different colors at a price of 69 euros.
Beats sells a Rugged Case for iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in four colors each for 89 euros, a plastic case in four colors for the 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max and 17 Air models for 55 euros and an entirely new form factor, a Kickstand Case. It comes with a kind of "bobble" to stand on for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models in four colors for 69 euros each. All of Apple's new products, such as Beats, are already available for pre-order and some are already available in Apple stores. The new iPhones themselves will be released on Friday.
