Russian YouTuber already wants Apple's iPad Pro M5
The YouTube channel Wylsacom, which previously got its hands on an M4 product from Apple early on, now also wants to own an iPad Pro M5 – and shows it.

New Apple products for the autumn have not only been leaked by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC): A YouTuber based in Russia with the channel name Wylsacom claims to already own an iPad Pro M5 and presents it in a video. What is particularly interesting about it is that it is about a person who was already involved in an apparently stolen MacBook Pro M4. So history seems to be repeating itself. A first benchmark also appeared on Geekbench at the same time—as “iPad 17.3” with single-core values of 4133 and multi-core values of 15437.
Faster, but visually unchanged
Compared to the previous model with M4, this would be 12 percent more performance in multi-core mode. Like the M4, the M5 should have nine CPU cores—three performance and six efficiency cores, as before. The GPU performance is said to be 36 percent stronger in the Metal score compared to the M4. The benchmark device comes with 12 GB of RAM and only 256 GB of flash memory. The M4 still had 8 GB of RAM.
The leaked hardware is said to be the 13-inch version in “Space Black.” Visually, there are only minimal changes: You can see a single rear camera, four speakers, and the familiar Smart Connector for the Magic Trackpad (or charging). There is probably no longer any “iPad Pro” lettering. In terms of thinness, it will probably remain at 5.1 mm. The video does not show a possible second selfie camera, which the rumor mill is expecting. This should allow the device to be used for video chats in portrait or landscape format without any problems. Alternatively, Apple could also install a square sensor as in the new iPhones.

The device could arrive in October
The new iPad Pro M5 models are currently expected to be released in October. Bloomberg-Apple author Mark Gurman assumes that the Russian video is genuine. Incidentally, the packaging remains unchanged—Apple has not even changed the background image.
This is reminiscent of the leak from last year—the unchanged MacBook Pro M4 box initially raised doubts that this was a genuine unboxing. Gurman and others speculated at the time that the device had probably been stolen “from another country in Europe” to reach Russia. It was also thought to have been an entire shipment in 2024, as another offer for 6,000 euros or more was briefly found on Russian online marketplaces.
