Waiting for Apple's October event: when the time could come
Apple is likely to organise at least one more event this year. Here are possible dates with a view to previous years.

After the keynote is before the keynote: Apple's presentation of the iPhone 17 family, including the new Air, was almost a month ago. The rumor mill is wondering when the next product presentation will take place. Currently, it looks like there will be another October event this year—or at least a presentation of new products. The focus will be on new iPad Pro models with an M5 chip, other tablets, possibly new MacBooks, and a Vision Pro 2. There are also several accessories in the pipeline. But when will the invitation arrive, and which dates are realistic?
A single event or stretched out over several days?
A look at the past shows that Apple likes to schedule its fall event in mid- to late-October. This is how it worked in the years 2021 to 2024—2020 was an exception due to the coronavirus pandemic with an iPad September event (and a delayed iPhone launch in October), while iPads and iPhones were combined in September in 2019. The 2021 and 2022 launches took place on 18 October, the 2023 launch on 30 October, while last year Apple used three days to release new Mac products—from October 28 to 30.

It is conceivable that Apple will not use a single day this year either, but will release product by product on a day-by-day basis with short videos and press releases. This would not be a bad fit, as the iPad Pro M5 could be shown on one day, the Vision Pro 2 on the next, and accessory products on another. For the latter, there are at least second-generation AirTags and possibly new HomePods and Apple TV devices still to come. It is still unclear what will happen with the MacBooks; Apple was actually told to postpone the launch until spring 2026. Interestingly, however, at least one MacBook has now leaked into the database of the US communications authority, FCC.
Mac issues still unresolved
Meanwhile, little has been heard recently about new Mac minis, iMacs, or even Mac Pro models, all of which would look good with the new M5 chip—although, as with the M4, this will probably make its debut in the iPad Pro. It is also not impossible that Apple will not present some new products until the beginning of December. New Studio Displays also fit into this month, as does a new entry-level MacBook.
No matter what happens, invitations to the events could still be a while off. There is usually a week between the announcement and the event.
