Teaser likely for a new MacBook: Apple announces "something powerful"
Apple's marketing boss Greg Joswiak has posted an announcement on X. Apple seems to be planning a kind of "Mac Week" as last year.
Teaser for new MacBook: Probably won't be long now.

New Macs may be introduced as early as today, Wednesday. This is suggested by a short video teaser that a high-ranking Apple manager himself posted on the social network X on Tuesday night. The announcement comes from Greg Joswiak, Apple's worldwide marketing chief. The six-second clip shows the lettering "coming soon", a completely dark, open notebook from the side (illuminated in blue) and an Apple logo. Joswiak writes: "Mmmm... something powerful is coming".
MacBook Pro M5 dropped
Looking closer, it's not a MacBook Air or another unknown model, but a MacBook Pro – it's accordingly thick and you can see the ports. It's likely to be a MacBook Pro M5 (i.e., without an M5 Pro or M5 Max chip). The rumor mill currently assumes that Apple will proceed in two stages this time: The entry-level model with M5 would come now, and the variants with faster Pro and Max processors only in the spring.

It is currently expected that Apple will gradually introduce its products this week – one per day. This is reminiscent of "Mac Week" last year, where, among other things, Mac mini M4 and iMac M4 were presented, each with 10 to 15-minute video presentations on separate days. This goes beyond Apple's simple announcement of new products via press release. It is assumed that the machines will be presented around the afternoon European time, which corresponds to the early morning on the US West Coast. Last year too, Apple first distributed announcements of new products via the accounts of important managers on X.
What else could come
In addition to the MacBook Pro M5, at least another iPad Pro M5 is expected, and a second Vision Pro with a more comfortable strap and a faster chip (M4 or M5) is also pending. Furthermore, there is still some accessories that Apple could update. Recently, the availability of HomePod mini and Apple TV in Apple's retail stores has decreased, which could indicate their renewal.
Furthermore, second-generation AirTags (with more range, among other things) have been predicted for a long time. We haven't heard anything more about a cost-effective entry-level MacBook recently (unfortunately).
