Twelve South's clever charging solutions, PowerBug and PowerCord, previously unavailable in the EU, are now arriving in European versions.

The accessory specialist Twelve South, known for iPhone, iPad, and Mac peripherals, has Europeanized two of its products that were previously unavailable in the EU. The multi-charger PowerBug and PowerCord, a combination of charger and USB-C cable, are now available as a Europlug variant. Previously, the devices were only offered for the US market and Great Britain. Both products are designed to take up as little space as possible at home or in the office and have a rather special form.
PowerCord: The Old-School Cord
Devices with integrated power supplies have the advantage that you only need one cable and no additional "wall wart" – something that is becoming increasingly rare in the USB-C era. The PowerCord accessory brings back this old-school charging technology: a compact power supply (depth: 47.3 mm) that plugs directly into the socket is combined with a permanently attached USB-C cable. The actual power supply protrudes significantly less than, for example, a MacBook charger.
The PowerCord delivers 30 watts with Power Delivery (PD) and is available in black and white. The cable is covered with a fabric sheath, making it difficult to tangle. The 1.2-meter version costs 29.95 Euros, and the 3-meter version costs 39.95 Euros. The disadvantage, of course, is that if the cable or power supply fails, you have to repair (or dispose of) the entire package.

Multi-charger with cable and wireless
The PowerBug is similarly minimalist. It can charge two devices simultaneously: one via a MagSafe or Qi2 charging coil and one via a USB-C Power Delivery port located at the bottom. "Turns a socket into a charging station," writes Twelve South. Thanks to the Europlug, the PowerBug sits flush with the wall. MagSafe/Qi2 delivers a maximum of 15 watts, while USB-C PD can deliver 35 watts.
If both charging options are used, the wattage via cable is reduced to 20 watts. iPhones can also be placed horizontally to use Apple's StandBy mode. Twelve South sells the hardware in the colors "Slate" (black) and "Dune" (white) for 59.95 Euros. Both devices can currently be ordered from the manufacturer, but should also arrive at resellers in the coming weeks.
