German provider SeaTable has released version 6.0 of its no-code platform. The new version integrates AI functions directly into the automation rules of the table and workflow software for the first time. Users can use AI to analyze texts, evaluate documents, or extract information.
The AI integration includes dedicated functions for standard tasks: summarize summarizes texts, OCR recognizes text in images, Extract extracts specific information from documents, and Classify assigns content to categories. For further use cases, a custom function is available, which works exclusively based on your prompts. Column contents can be directly integrated by referencing them in curly braces.

As an AI model, SeaTable Cloud uses Gemma 3 with 12 billion parameters. Google's multimodal large language model runs on servers from Hetzner Online in Germany and is operated by SeaTable administrators themselves. Data exchange is encrypted; information is not transferred to external AI providers or abroad. Enterprise customers receive 500 AI credits per team member, allowing for extensive testing; additional credits are required for productive workloads.
However, users who operate SeaTable Server themselves can also use their own LLMs or the new SeaTable AI component. The latter is based on LiteLLM and supports many models and providers, including all LLM services with an OpenAI-compatible API. Deployment is via Docker or Docker Compose.

Revised editor and new views
In addition to the AI functions, version 6.0 brings a completely revised editor for automation rules. This extends across the entire screen width and offers a workflow-oriented user interface. Furthermore, the new view types Calendar, Kanban, and Gallery replace the previous plug-ins of the same name and now support features such as view sharing, private views, and real-time collaborative data editing.
All information about the new release can be found in the SeaTable blog. SeaTable Cloud has already been updated to version 6.0. Those who operate the software themselves can download the stable release from the Docker repository. For upcoming updates, SeaTable plans to integrate further AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, xAI, and the European provider Mistral, as well as develop an AI assistant and MCP server.
