Mozilla will offer paid support for organizations using Firefox at scale starting in January 2026. The program, called "Firefox Support for Organizations," is aimed at companies, schools, and government agencies with browser support requirements that go beyond Mozilla's existing offerings.
The new program includes three core services: a private, confidential support channel with direct access to Mozilla employees, where tickets are prioritized by severity and processed with defined response times. Additionally, customers will receive discounts on individually developed features, for example, for specific integrations, compatibility testing, or environment-specific customizations. This is a paid add-on. As a third component, Mozilla mentions a strategic collaboration with customers, giving them early insight into the Firefox enterprise roadmap and the opportunity to help shape it.
No changes for end-users
Mozilla emphasizes in its blog that the paid offering represents an additional layer. Public support with documentation, knowledge base, and community forums will remain available free of charge for all Firefox users. The new program is intended to appeal to organizations that use Firefox for business-critical and sensitive operations and rely on confidential, reliable support.
Interested users can register for early access via a request form. Mozilla has been trying to make Firefox attractive to enterprise customers for years: Extended Support Release (ESR) offers long-term maintenance, while extensive group policies enable IT administrators to have granular control over browser settings.

Competitor Google also offers commercial support with its Chrome Enterprise Support for companies deploying Chrome in larger environments. Customers receive 24/7 access to Google employees by phone and online. Support is available for companies with 1,000 licenses or more and is billed per user or location. Additionally, there are different support tiers from Standard to Premium, offering enhanced features and security.
