Apple Fitness+ to feature synchronized audio in German and Spanish in the future

Apple wants to make its Fitness+ service more attractive to users in non-English speaking countries by offering synchronized audio tracks. While subtitles are already available, those who want to be motivated during a workout and can only listen will have to be proficient in English. The iPhone manufacturer announced that the fitness and wellness service will offer synchronization in German and Spanish starting Monday, December 15. In addition, the availability of Fitness+ will be expanded to additional countries.
Apple is using artificial intelligence for the synchronization of the English-language instructions. The translation is done with digitally synchronized languages, according to the press release. It is the largest expansion of the service since its introduction five years ago. The service came to Germany in 2021. For the launch of the translations, hundreds of Fitness+ workouts and meditations have already been digitally synchronized with a computer-generated voice in German and Spanish, with more synchronized episodes to be added each week.
AI voice is modeled after trainers
According to Apple, the synchronized workouts and meditations feature a computer-generated voice based on the voices of the 28 Fitness+ trainers. The workouts and meditations also offer subtitles. Japanese will follow as another translated language early next year.

Users can select the audio language after starting a synchronized workout or meditation. If German, Japanese, or Spanish is selected in the Fitness app settings, the episode will automatically play in that language if a synchronized version is available. iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, or tvOS 26.1 are required to access the synchronization.
Expansion to additional countries
Apple Fitness+ is available as a subscription for 9.99 Euros per month or 79.99 Euros per year. The service is currently available in Australia, Brazil, Germany, France, Great Britain, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Canada, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Austria, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Spain, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. Starting December 15, Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, and 17 other countries and regions will be added.
