Apple hosts creator event: "Apple Experience" with new Macs in L.A.?
Apple's "Creator Studio" software bundle launches Jan 28. An event for selected creatives will also take place in California.

The indications that Apple will unveil fresh Macs later this month are intensifying. Following initial speculation that the company might present the computers along with the new Creator Studio subscription package, as well as poor availability of older models in the Apple Online Store, a third piece of information has now emerged. Apple has invited attendees to a special event: YouTubers, TikTokers, and other "creators" from the influencer segment are reportedly invited to Los Angeles from January 27 to 29. What the event, which the company simply titles as "Apple Experience", is about remains unclear. German vloggers are also likely among the invitees. It was initially unclear whether traditional media would be present.
Three Days in Los Angeles
The length of the event is interesting: Over the three days, Apple could not only present its Creator Studio and new hardware but also hold seminars and courses for hands-on product testing. This approach, where "creators" are briefed first, is not new: The company acted similarly with its M4 machines the year before last. However, at that time, there were also keynote videos introducing the computers. It remains unclear if this will be the case this time.

With Creator Studio, Apple is marketing its macOS programs Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, as well as tools like Motion or MainStage for the first time in a subscription package (€12.90 per month or €129 per year), which is supplemented by additional "premium content" for iWork programs. It would be unusual to dedicate a three-day creator event to such a product – making new hardware correspondingly likely.
Which Macs are expected
Currently, the rumor mill anticipates the unveiling of at least two new MacBook Pro series. After only the mid-range MacBook Pro M5 model with 14 inches was presented in the fall, the MacBook Pro M5 Pro and MacBook Pro M5 Max – each with 14 and 16 inches – are still pending. Other computers with M5 chips could also arrive, although these – such as the MacBook Air M5 and Mac Mini M5 and M5 Pro – are currently expected more towards the middle of the year. Finally, according to observers, a new compact MacBook with an iPhone chip is also due, but there has been no news about it for a long time.
The new Macs are expected to be able to run local language models faster (or at all). Currently, there are only the basic M5 chips. In addition to the aforementioned MacBook Pro M5, these are also found in the iPad Pro M5 and the Vision Pro M5.
