Apple Intelligence is not currently used in Apple Music. This is set to change with the upcoming iOS and macOS versions. Also new is a TikTok cooperation.

While Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music have already integrated AI features into their streaming services, Apple has held back so far. Although the recommendation algorithms used have been based on machine learning for years, and an intelligent crossfade function called AutoMix was recently added, you still can't prompt anything here. According to testers of the current developer beta of iOS 26.4, this is set to change soon: The integrated Apple Music app in it features a new preview function called "Playlist Playground". With "Playground", Apple already refers to AI features with prompting functionality, such as the image generator Image Playground within Apple Intelligence.
Prompt until the playlist is right
As part of Playlist Playground, you can now create playlists based on entered text descriptions for the first time. The function can be found in the lower right corner of the library page by tapping the playlist icon. This is followed by the question of what you would like to hear – and you can type in something suitable or pass it on to the iPhone via Siri. Apple already provides some "ideas", such as "Disco songs that defined the seventies" or "Party songs from hip-hop".

After confirming the input, the playlist is created – Apple allows you to add it to your own library or edit it manually again. It is also possible to refine it with further prompt inputs. In initial attempts, this worked quite well, but you shouldn't ignore the beta status. The feature only appears if "Apple Intelligence & Siri" is enabled and the models have been downloaded. It was initially unclear whether the feature only works with US English systems or also in German.
Party on TikTok
Meanwhile, Apple has made further improvements in the music sector. Together with TikTok, the "Listening Party" function will soon allow a complete song to be played from the video service within Apple Music. This was reported by insiders to the Apple blog 9to5Mac.
In 2023, TikTok had already integrated song saving to Apple Music. It is still unclear when the function will be officially released. There have been no announcements about it yet.
