German hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH will increase prices for its services starting April 1, 2026. Both new orders and existing products are affected by the adjustment. As a reason, Hetzner states drastically increased operating expenses for the infrastructure as well as significantly higher procurement costs for new hardware.

Already at the beginning of February, Hetzner had increased the one-time setup fees for dedicated servers. However, this measure does not fully cover the additional costs, it was already stated then. Now the monthly prices are being adjusted.

According to Hetzner, the high purchase prices for hardware components are particularly significant. The RAM market is dominated by a few manufacturers whose “hardly comprehensible” pricing policy the company criticizes. Prices for NVMe SSDs have also risen sharply. In addition, suppliers are providing unreliable delivery quotas and price promises.

“Our server calculations are fundamentally designed for long, stable operation. Our goal is to offer fair and predictable monthly prices that remain valid for years,” explained Hetzner at the beginning of February. However, the currently exceptionally high procurement prices are significantly disrupting this model.

Unlike previous price adjustments – for example, in 2022 due to increased energy costs – Hetzner is not granting any exceptions for existing customers with long-term contracts this time. The company is also currently examining whether the price increases will also be extended to other product lines.

Details on the price increases for individual cloud products can be found in a table at Hetzner.
