When it comes to working with iPhones, iPads, and now also the Apple Watch, Vision Pro, and the multimedia box Apple TV, Apple's management tools are sometimes severely limited. For years, the tool iMazing from Switzerland has provided a remedy – it is considered a kind of all-purpose weapon for the administration of iOS & Co. For example, you can create backups with it and analyze them directly, and even transfer apps from foreign app stores to the device without having to log in there directly. In the new version 3.5, which has been available for download since this week, some useful new functions have been added.
Search via file system
For the first time, it is possible to search the file system of an external device on the Mac after creating a backup. This makes the existing data much easier to access. When extracting messengers like the Messages app or WhatsApp, you can now more easily extract PDFs, CSV, and Excel files, and reactions are also easier to read.

Anyone who wants to record their iPhone or iPad screen for training or marketing purposes can now do so directly in iMazing via USB-C. Recordings in HD are also possible. Furthermore, the interface in iMazing 3.5 has been improved. There is a new collapsible sidebar with the devices, leaving more space in the main window.
New Profile Editor for Windows
Profile Editor 2.0 is now available for Windows. It allows profiles for Apple devices to be created, so a Mac is no longer needed for this. Profiles can also be signed directly. iMazing maker DigiDNA claims that admins can work with profiles more flexibly this way than with Apple's own tools.
Minor innovations within iMazing 3.5 are also available for the CLI mode and the Configurator. A complete list of innovations can be found here. It also shows that the app can now fully export the battery diagnostics of an Apple device.
iMazing 3.5 costs 50 euros for five devices on subscription per year (one device: 30 Euros), family licenses are available from 80 euros per year. Upgrades from previous iMazing versions receive a 50 percent discount. We could not initially find one-time purchases that were previously available; we have asked DigiDNA if they are still available. iMazing 3.5 is also available for Windows.
