Ubiquiti has been trying to gain a foothold in the enterprise environment for some time. The previous management solution was limited to purely on-site management of networks. Companies and authorities want to segment their networks, but still monitor and manage them centrally. Now, the manufacturer is introducing the Site Manager – a tool for unified monitoring and management of corporate networks – just in time for the UniFi World Conference in London.

Administrators can group their entire Ubiquiti network infrastructure into a so-called Fabric and define policies centrally – instead of having to maintain them individually at each location. Users thus receive the same network policies at every location. With so-called Blueprints, existing site configurations can be cloned and transferred to new locations. Responsible parties also define firewall policies centrally and enforce them across locations.

In addition, the Site Manager is intended to simplify administration and security. The Site Manager relies on role-based access control (RBAC) to implement the principle of least privilege. Furthermore, the platform now offers unified user management and integrates identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace. According to the manufacturer, classic directory services such as LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory are on the roadmap.

The Site Manager also offers an open API, which, according to the manufacturer, allows the entire Fabric to be managed. Organizations can thus integrate the Site Manager into existing management systems and automate workflows.

The Site Manager can be used free of charge and complements Ubiquiti's growing enterprise product range, including the Enterprise Campus Switches and the E-Series. This positions the manufacturer as an alternative to established providers such as Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, or Juniper. Further information on the Site Manager can be found in the manufacturer's blog.
