Motorola has unveiled several new smartphones. The focus is on three new foldables: the Razr 70 Ultra, the Razr 70 Plus, and the Razr 70. They complement the Razr Fold, which was already shown at the beginning of the year. In parallel, the manufacturer is presenting the Edge 70 Pro, the first device in a new design line called “Collections by Motorola”.

According to the manufacturer, the Razr 70 Ultra is the most powerful Razr ever. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. The external display measures 4 inches, while internally, a 6.96-inch OLED panel unfolds – one of the largest in a flip phone. Both displays offer a refresh rate of 165 Hz; the internal display reaches a peak HDR brightness of 5000 cd/m² and is Pantone-validated.

The camera system relies on a next-generation 50 MP LOFIC sensor, which Motorola claims captures up to six times greater dynamic range than its predecessor. Additionally, there is a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro function and a 50 MP front camera. The setup is supported by OIS (optical image stabilization), Dolby Vision Capture, and AI functions such as group photo optimization, Frame Match, or the new “Camcorder Rotate to Zoom” mode. The smartphone reacts to rotational movements to zoom in or out.

The 5000 mAh battery is said to deliver over 36 hours of runtime and can be charged with up to 68 watts wired and up to 30 watts wirelessly via a proprietary charging dock, and it also supports reverse charging. The external display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic. Available materials include an Alcantara texture in Pantone Orient Blue or a wood veneer finish in Pantone Cocoa. The Razr 70 Ultra will be available at a price of 1399 Euros.

The Razr 70 Plus adopts the 4-inch external display from the Ultra model and combines it with a 6.90-inch internal display with Dolby Vision support. Inside, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with clock speeds up to 3 GHz.

The camera features a dual 50 MP system consisting of a main camera (with OIS, Quad Pixel technology, and Pantone-validated colors) and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro function. The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP. According to Motorola, the 4500 mAh battery lasts over 31 hours and charges at up to 45 watts wired or 15 watts wirelessly. For the Razr 70 Plus, which is offered exclusively in the Pantone Mountain View color variant with a jacquard finish inspired by woven fabrics, Motorola charges 1149 Euros.

The Razr 70 has a smaller 3.63-inch external display, but full apps can also be run on it. Internally, a 6.90-inch OLED panel is used. The MediaTek Dimensity 7450X serves as the processor.

The camera largely corresponds to that of the Razr 70 Plus with a dual 50 MP system and a 32 MP front camera – however, without the “Group Photo” AI mode, which is reserved for the Plus and Ultra models. The 4800 mAh battery is said to last over 36 hours and charges at 30 watts wired and 15 watts wirelessly. The Razr 70 will be available in the color variants Pantone Hematite, Violet Ice, Sporting Green, and Bright White (acetate) and, at a price of 869 Euros, is the most affordable model in the new foldable family.

All three Razr models share a titanium-reinforced hinge, AI functions via moto ai (such as “Catch me up” and “Next Move”), and integrations of Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity. For the first time, Google Photos Wardrobe is used for digitally trying on outfits. The packaging is plastic-free and printed with soy ink; all three devices achieve the highest EU energy efficiency class A.

With the Edge 70 Pro, Motorola is launching the new “Collections by Motorola” design line, which aims to establish a consistent design approach across all product lines. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone is one of the thinnest and lightest in its class – with a construction height of 7.19 mm, a weight of 190 grams, and a four-sided curved housing.

The camera specifications are impressive: four 50 MP sensors, including a main camera with a Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with an 81 mm equivalent focal length (according to Motorola, the flattest model in its category with a periscope telephoto lens), a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 122° field of view, and a 50 MP selfie camera. Up to 50x magnification is possible with AI-powered “Super Zoom Pro”.

Despite its slim design, Motorola has incorporated a 6500 mAh silicon-carbon battery with a runtime of up to two days. Charging is done with up to 90 watts wired or 15 watts wirelessly. The 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display has a 1.5K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 5200 cd/m². The MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor is used, combined with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. On the software side, Android 16 with moto ai functions is running.

The Moto Edge 70 Pro and the Razr 70 series will receive three years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches on a bi-monthly cycle.

The device is robust thanks to IP68/IP69 certification, MIL-STD-810H, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. According to the manufacturer, the COâ‚‚ footprint is reduced by 25 percent compared to the predecessor. The Edge 70 Pro costs 799 Euros and is available in the color variants Pantone Zinfandel and Pantone Titan.

In addition to the premium models, Motorola is also expanding its mid-range portfolio: The Moto G87 offers a 200 MP main camera with OIS, a 6.78-inch OLED display, and IP66/IP68/IP69 protection for 399 Euros. Below this, the manufacturer positions the Moto G47 for 319 Euros, the Moto G37 Power for 279 Euros, and the Moto G37 for 249 Euros. These models target price-conscious buyers with long battery life – the G37 Power, for example, offers a 7000 mAh battery – as well as 5G connectivity and MIL-STD-810H certified housings.

For the Moto G series, Motorola is more conservative with updates: All devices will receive only one Android update and 3 years of security patches every four months. An exception is the Moto G87: It will receive 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches, but only on a bi-monthly basis.
