Unusual iPhone accessories in a double pack: this week, providers Bitmo Labs and Zens presented new peripheral products for Apple phones with a very specific target group. The first product is aimed at users of retro games, the second at users who have many iPhones in their household.
iPhone as Gameboy
The Gamebaby case from Bitmo Labs is somewhat reminiscent of other special cases such as the Clicks keyboard case. However, the aim here is to play with the iPhone as comfortably as possible. The solution for the iPhone 15 Pro Max (and later the iPhone 16 Pro Max), which is currently on pre-order, roughly halves the screen. Emulators such as Delta can then run in the upper area, while physical buttons (including a directional pad) can be used at the bottom.

Layouts from Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo Entertainment System are supported. Bluetooth or cables are not necessary, as the Gamebaby case accesses the touchscreen directly. The pre-order price is 20 US dollars, later 40 dollars will be charged. A total of 7000 games are to be supported from the start, but how well they can actually be played remains to be seen in a test.
Family can charge wirelessly
The Quattro Charger Pro 4 from Zens is also in a pre-order phase. It is probably the most comprehensive Qi2 charger on the market: it has a total of four shelves on two levels with an output of up to 15 watts. The system is Qi and Qi2-certified, meaning it also works with Apple's MagSafe.
A 65-watt power supply is included to ensure that the devices receive sufficient power – Whether this is a proprietary solution or USB-C remained unclear at first. The hardware is made of recycled aluminum and is not exactly light at 745 grams, which prevents it from slipping. With the Quattro Charger Pro 4, Zens wants to appeal to families in particular, who can then store and charge their iPhones in one place without having to deal with cable chaos. MagSafe-compatible AirPods can also be charged, with iPhones from generation 12 onwards. The price is 180 euros, first delivery is at the end of October.
