Salesforce is continuing its AI shopping spree with Zoomin: the CRM provider wants to use the start-up to expand its data cloud platform. On the technical side, Zoomin can be described as an enterprise knowledge platform: The software collects a company's unstructured data – usually documents that are stored in different places such as Confluence, a CMS, cloud storage or websites – and prepares them for further processing by AI services.

Salesforce and Zoomin have not disclosed the acquisition price; unconfirmed reports speak of USD 450 million. However, the CRM giant is currently explicitly spending large sums of money to acquire AI start-ups – The company only announced the purchase of Own Data for 1.9 billion dollars at the beginning of September. Salesforce intends to complete the acquisition of Zoomin by the end of the fourth quarter of the 2025 financial year, i.e. by January 31, 2025.
The acquisition announcements can be found at both Salesforce and Zoomin.
