Xbox: New iPhone and iPad app to combine everything
At the moment, Microsoft is still confusing Xbox fans on Apple mobile devices with several apps. This is set to improve soon – also on Android.

Microsoft has announced the reorganization of its mobile apps. In future, there will only be a single Xbox app that also includes the Game Pass. The company announced this on its official Xbox blog.
Slight app confusion so far
There are currently still two applications, called Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. While the Xbox app is used to share clips and screenshots and communicate with friends by voice or text (including game invitations and party chat), the Game Pass app allows you to manage the subscription gaming service. You can initiate downloads and installations of games on PC or console from the application and view the current collection.
There is a search function, screenshots and more. It will no longer be possible to download the Game Pass app in November. This will apply to iOS and Android, according to reports. All Game Pass functions will be migrated to the Xbox app by then.

Game Pass costs from 12 euros upwards
Microsoft also appears to be trying to boost Game Pass sales with this measure. This is because the Xbox app already has significantly more users than the Game Pass app. The reason is simple: there are many Xbox owners who simply do not (yet) use the subscription service. It should now be advertised even more than before, as all functions are available in one application. What is still missing is the option to stream games directly from the Xbox app on a mobile device.
Although Apple is now less bitchy about cloud gaming than before and basically allows the technology, the sales tax to be paid by Microsoft remains controversial – Apple is known to want its 30 percent commission. Accordingly, you still have to switch to the browser. The Microsoft Game Pass is available on the PC from 12 euros per month (standard subscription without cloud and console), on the Xbox from 13 euros (also standard subscription without cloud). As an Ultimate package with all options, Microsoft would like to offer 18 euros per month with "hundreds of great games on console, PC and in the cloud".
