iCloud.com gets new features
Apple's iCloud can be controlled not only on a Mac or iPhone, but also via the web. Apple has now made some changes to the interface.

Anyone who currently accesses the iCloud services on the web via Apple's iCloud.com portal is greeted with a news screen. Apple has improved its range of services accessible via the browser and tidied up some areas. This affects the entire web app as well as several individual programs such as Calendar, iCloud Drive and the Photos app.
Make yourself comfortable on the web
In terms of appearance, it is noticeable that iCloud.com is now also available in night mode (dark mode) for the first time. This is automatically based on the computer settings. So if the Mac is set to switch to dark mode in the evening, the website will do the same. Unfortunately, we have not found a switch to set the mode manually – there are certainly users who only want to see the web app "in the dark" and not the rest of the Mac interface.
If you don't like the default blue look, you can now choose from five other colors. The configuration option can be found by scrolling all the way down (or via the settings). There is no option to set your own background image – but this would probably only have caused disruption to the web app.

News in the individual apps
Apple has made some changes to the iCloud apps accessible via the web. The calendar has a slightly prettier and, at first glance, clearer design and now also supports the Islamic calendar (hijrī). iCloud Drive has its own tab for shared files. The Reminders app has reminder lists for better sorting, and individual reminders can be pinned in Notes.
iCloud Photos can now adjust the location, date and time via the info bar and displays albums in a new tile view on the homepage. According to Apple, navigation has also been improved, for example between months and years. All new iCloud.com features are available immediately and appear when you log in to the web interface. A return to the old look for the calendar app, for example, is not planned – As usual with web apps, all users will receive the update. iCloud+ with more storage and additional services costs from 99 cents per month (50 GB), only 5 GB are free.
