M4 Macs next week – or already this week?
After Apple released the iPad mini 7 without an event, this could also happen with the M4 Macs. Are the iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro coming in a few days?

Apple is likely to launch revised computers with M4 SoC on the market very soon. This has been reported by US media and a well-known rumor cook. It is therefore conceivable that the time will come either this week or at the beginning of next week. Apparently, at least three new models are on Apple's list.
"Creator event" in Los Angeles?
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has learned that Apple will launch the new computers "very soon" – He believes in iMac M4, MacBook Pro M4 and a revised Mac mini M4 including USB-C accessories. He assumes that there will be "a hands-on outside of Cupertino" as well as "online videos", Gurman said on Tuesday. A little later, he then wrote on X that a "hands-on experience" was planned for next Wednesday in Los Angeles, to which Apple wanted to invite media and "creators". "So of course the new Macs have to be announced by then."

This in turn would suggest that Apple is not planning a "real" keynote including a video recording for the new products, but is rather following the event-less launch of the iPad mini 7 last week – but possibly publishing at least a shorter video. If there were to be an event that included a keynote video and hands-on in Cupertino, as is now customary, the company would have to issue invitations very soon, possibly even today. With the three new computer lines, there would actually be enough material available. This is a "busy week" for Apple:"Apple Intelligence on Monday, then M4 Mac launch, then quarterly figures on Thursday (possibly the last with the current CFO)," says Gurman.
Rumor cook already believes in earlier release
Leaker Sonny Dickson also spoke out on Tuesday. In an X-Post , he wrote that he had "just heard a rumor that the new Mac mini may be released this week". He repeated the announcement that the hardware will have five USB-C ports for the first time. The Mac mini is also expected to shrink, looking more like an Apple TV.
Dickson has not always been right about Apple rumors in the past, but had correctly predicted the iPhone 16 Pro colors, among other things. He did not say where the information about the Mac mini M4 came from.
