iPhone event 2024: Insiders are said to have revealed the date
Apple has apparently finalized its iPhone schedule for this year. New Apple Watch models and AirPods are also expected in September.

Apple is apparently planning this year's iPhone keynote for September 10. This was reported by the financial news agency Bloomberg , citing informed sources. According to the report, Apple's "biggest product launch event of the year" will feature new smartphones as well as new Apple Watch models and new AirPods. The new iPhones from the 16-series would then go on sale ten days later, on September 20. September 10 would be a Tuesday –, a typical Apple keynote day. September 20, on the other hand, is a Friday, a typical weekday for iPhone launches.
Four new iPhones in the pipeline
There had previously been speculation that Apple might hold this year's iPhone keynote on September 3. However, the announcement would probably have already been made by then. Apple is again expected to show at least four new iPhone models. The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are apparently planned. Little is expected to change in terms of form factor, but there could be a slight increase in screen size for the Pro models. Other innovations in the more expensive new iPhones include a "Capture" button for faster photography and improved camera functions.
A new titanium exterior color called bronze is also reportedly planned for the Pro models. All four iPhone 16 devices are compatible with Apple Intelligence. According to the report, Apple is planning four new SoCs in the A18 series, with the Pro models receiving the "A18 Pro". The standard models will receive more RAM to be able to process Apple Intelligence models "on device".
Other new hardware: Watch and AirPods
According to Bloomberg, new computer watches from Apple are also planned for September 10. The Apple Watch Series 10 is said to be thinner and have a larger screen – possibly in the direction of the Ultra models. The revised SE models are reportedly coming in plastic. The new features of the Ultra 3 are still unclear, but could be limited to improvements to the inner workings.
There are said to be two versions of the AirPods 4. These would replace AirPods 2 and 3 and are to be released – with active noise cancellation (ANC) for the first time, at least in the more expensive version –. There are also hopes for new AirPods Max with USB-C, although these are not mentioned in the Bloomberg report. As always, Mac & i will be reporting on the Apple keynote with a live ticker.
