Ford: Recall for more than 750,000 diesels
Ford has to launch a recall for a number of models with diesel engines. The particulate filter is not working correctly in some cases.

The Ford brand, currently in difficult economic waters anyway, has to launch a huge recall. In various models with diesel engines, the particulate filter may not be working correctly. Ford intends to write to all owners before the end of this year. According to the German Federal Motor Transport Authority, 768,927 vehicles are affected worldwide, 164,168 of which are in Germany. The cars were built between 2014 and 2023.
The complaint relates to a design-related increase in the number of particles over the service life. In the workshop, the filter regeneration is recalibrated, the filter itself is checked and replaced if necessary. The recall that has now been initiated came about after it became apparent from mid-2023 that more and more of the affected models were no longer passing the emissions test, reports "Auto, Motor und Sport".
Ford has set up a hotline on +49 221 9999 2999 for customers to call. The manufacturer code for the recall is 24E06, the KBA lists it as 14555R. The following models are affected:
