At the launch of the Galaxy S25 family in January, Samsung announced another model in addition to the expected three. The Galaxy S25 Edge is said to be particularly flat and light. At MWC 2025 in Barcelona, the manufacturer is giving us our first glimpse of it, although it is still forbidden to try it out.

Samsung has not yet revealed the exact hardware inside the Galaxy S25 Edge's approximately six millimetre-thin casing. What is certain is that the fourth member of the S25 family also uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite as its SoC, which presents the manufacturer with the tricky task of providing the hot-headed high-end processor with a small but effective cooling system. The display size of the OLED panel is likely to be 6.7 inches (approx. 17.02 cm), in all likelihood with the usual Full HD+ resolution.

Samsung is limiting itself to two cameras, with an ultra-wide angle presumably flanking the main camera. The choice is obvious due to the installation size alone; a telephoto simply needs more space, which is in short supply in the Galaxy S25 Edge. The battery will probably have a capacity of 4000 mAh. Together with the powerful processor, this should not necessarily be enough for endurance records. Given the focus on a particularly thin and light design, this was not to be expected.

The question of when Samsung will deliver the Galaxy S25 Edge to the first customers remains exciting. The Korean manufacturer has not yet officially announced a date for the sales launch. According to current rumors, however, it won't be too long, with a mid-April date being suggested. By then, there should also be an opportunity to actually try out the Edge.
