BYD and Finn cooperate: Car subscriptions as a sales accelerator
Finn and the Chinese brand BYD want to work more closely together in the future. To this end, the range is set to grow significantly.
The BYD Dolphin Surf, which has just been unveiled, will also be offered at Finn.

The major breakthrough of Chinese cars on the European market has so far failed to materialize. In the first five months of the year, MG and BYD recorded the highest number of first registrations among Chinese suppliers, with, 9401 and 4648 respectively. Both are still small suppliers in this country, although BYD in particular is currently growing strongly. A cooperation with Finn, a provider of car subscriptions, is set to continue the upward trend.
Electric cars on offer
It has been agreed that Finn will take over up to 5,000 vehicles from BYD over the next ten months. Prospective buyers will have access to the brand's entire European range. It currently consists of Atto 2, Seal U, Seal and Sealion 7, as well as the recently launched Dolphin Surf small car. Terms of between six and 24 months are offered. The following models are currently on offer on the Finn website:
- Dophin from 259 euros
- Atto 2 from 269 euros
- Seal U DM-i from 339 euros
- Seal from 419 euros
- Sealion 7 from 439 euros
All prices are per month and include all costs except for driving energy. For orientation: A gasoline car is currently available at Finn from 139 Euro (MG3), an electric car from 219 Euro (Opel Frontera e). If the prices remain the same, electric cars from BYD on subscription would not be the cheapest. However, if the offer is well received, it would be a major step forward for the Chinese brand on the German market. After all, up to 5,000 additional vehicles in ten months would be slightly more than what BYD sold in Germany between January and May.
