Presentation of the Audi Q3 2025: the Tiguan offshoot from Audi
Audi's compact SUV comes in its third generation, initially with a diesel and hybrid drive. There are largely no surprises.

The third generation of the Audi Q3 is being launched. Because the mid-size SUV is of central importance in Audi's model range, it is apparently being adapted quite carefully to taste. While many manufacturers have already given up on diesel engines, the upcoming Q3 will still be available to order with one at launch.

)Audi is replacing the current two-part headlights with narrow Matrix LED units with cut-outs for road users thanks to variable illumination. However, the continuous light strip at the rear with illuminated brand symbol shown in the first images is only available as an option.
Three engine versions make the start
At the market launch, Audi is offering a two-liter diesel and a 1.5-liter petrol engine, each with 110 kW from 44,600 euros. Also on offer right from the start is a plug-in hybrid costing at least 49,300 euros, which is only available as a front-wheel drive model and, with an 85 kW electric motor, has a system output of 200 kW and a torque of 400 Nm. Its 19.7 kWh battery in the underbody should enable a purely electric range of up to 120 kilometers in the WLTP. It can be charged with up to 50 kW of direct current and up to 11 kW of alternating current. This means that its storage can be filled more quickly than in the Audi A5 PHEV that has just been presented.

)Two variants of a two-liter petrol engine with 150 kW or 195 kW, the latter with 400 Nm, will follow later, transmitting their power to both axles via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with flange-mounted all-wheel drive. The S and RS versions with even more power are expected to follow in 2026.

Right from the start, there is a choice between standard or sports suspension, as well as the option of adaptive damper control. Audi specifies wheel sizes from 17 to 20 inches. The new equipment details include two displays with 11.9 and 12.8-inch diagonals, a head-up display, a Sonos sound system and various driver assistance systems. The load volume is between 488 and 1386 liters, the towing capacity is up to 2.1 tons. The overloaded control island in the driver's door has apparently disappeared again.
