The Federal Chancellor has called a car summit to the Federal Chancellery on 9 October. The aim is to discuss how the struggling car industry can be helped. One decision has already been leaked in advance. For small and medium incomes, there will once again be a state subsidy for the purchase of an electric car. A total of three billion euros would be available for this. This was reported by the Bild newspaper. More details will be released later today.
Such a purchase subsidy was available until two years ago. It was valid until the end of August 2023 for commercial registrations and was also terminated for private buyers in December 2023.
