Tesla offers new entry-level version "Model 3 Standard" for 36,990 Euros

Tesla announces the price for the new entry-level version of its Model 3 for Europe. The version, also known in Germany as the Tesla Model 3 Standard, costs 36,990 Euros. This model, which is 3,000 Euros cheaper, will replace the previous entry-level version for 39,990 Euros starting in February 2026. Tesla had already announced this facelift at the beginning of October, along with those for its Model Y Standard (5,000 Dollars cheaper in the USA), but without an initial sales date or prices for Europe.

Shorter range, higher charging power

A new LFP battery with just over 62 kWh of energy content allows the Model 3 Standard a WLTP range of 534 km, 20 less than the previous Model 3 RWD. Tesla states the maximum DC charging power as 175 kW – five kW more than the previous entry-level version. The Model 3 Standard also remains economical, with Tesla specifying a standard consumption of a good 13 kWh/100 km. That is 0.2 kWh lower than before the facelift. Further adjustments concern the equipment, which is simplified in some aspects but also introduces new features. Additionally, the Standard model will only be delivered in black, white, or gray.

With the new price, Tesla still significantly misses its once self-imposed goal of an entry-level model at a price of 30,000 Euros. The background to the price reduction is the discontinuation of e-car subsidies in the USA and certainly even more so the continuously dramatically poor sales development. In Germany, the revival of subsidies could indeed convince some more customers to buy a Tesla. The Model 3 Standard is available for order online immediately. For leasing, the Model 3 Standard costs 299 Euros per month for 60 months with a down payment of 6,900 Euros and an annual mileage of 10,000 km.
