CaPow and Hyundai: battery-free power supply for robot fleets
CaPow will unveil a wireless power system at CES 2026 that will supply mobile robots with power while they are in motion, making charging zones obsolete.

Israeli startup CaPow, together with Hyundai Cradle (Center for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Data & Learning), is showcasing its “Genesis” energy system at CES 2026. Founded in 2019 and based in Be’er Sheva, the company specializes in powering mobile robots while they are in motion.
Its so-called Power-in-Motion technology wirelessly transmits electrical energy to mobile robots as they move through logistics or industrial environments. Energy is transferred wirelessly via electromagnetic induction or magnetic resonance.
Robots in continuous operation
The system is designed to operate robots without traditional lithium-ion traction batteries. Instead of relying on charging breaks or battery swaps, the robots receive a continuous energy supply along defined routes. Genesis is designed to be integrated into existing floor and pathway systems. The goal is a uniform energy supply without interrupting the operational flow.
In a joint proof-of-concept with Hyundai Cradle and Hyundai Glovis, the Korean automaker's logistics and transport service provider, the system was tested under real-world conditions. According to the participating companies, the robot fleet achieved continuous operation without downtime.

The approach has further advantages. Separate charging stations are eliminated, freeing up space in warehouses, for example. Furthermore, the number of vehicles required could be reduced because no robots were out of service due to charging breaks. The effort involved in battery management, maintenance, and safety is also lower.
Fields of application and partners
According to CaPow, logistics service providers, automotive manufacturers, and industrial operators are already using the technology. Additionally, a partnership with US system integrator for industrial automation and robotics Manufacturing Revolution has been announced to introduce the system in production environments in the US Midwest.
