New Beats collaboration with Kardashian: this time for speakers
Apple subsidiary Beats has once again entered into a collaboration with Kim Kardashian. This time, the colors go in a new direction.

News from Kim Kardashian in the consumer electronics segment: the influencer star is collaborating with Apple subsidiary Beats on a third product. After Fitbits Pro earbuds in skin and brown tones in summer 2022 and Studio Pro over-ears in similar finishes this August, the American is now also allowed to try out the recently unveiled new Beats Pill speakers.
Still, no new price
This project is also about special colors, which Kardashian has chosen according to Beats – of course including a matching commercial. At least, Apple is not charging extra for the "Kim Special Edition" models, which also cost 169.95 euros as usual. This time, the Kardashian colors are called – surprisingly simple – "Dark Grey" and "Light Grey". They stand alongside the three standard colors "matt black", "signal red" and "champagne", making them look almost neutral.

It is conceivable that Kardashian was inspired by her love of the minimalist concrete buildings designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando – but this is not specifically mentioned. After all, the three previous "Kim" paint finishes were not simply adopted. "The elegant colors were developed with functionality and style in mind, because Beats Pill is both the perfect party companion and a unique eye-catcher in any room," Apple writes floridly in its press release.
More neutral colors than before
For customers, the two more neutral special colors are definitely interesting if the standard colors have not appealed to them so far. As the Mac & i test also showed, the Beats Pill speakers produce a very voluminous sound despite their small size. Two devices can also be connected to form an (even) louder overall package ("amplifier mode"), alternatively also in a stereo combination. The connection is made via Bluetooth and the battery life is said to be up to one day.
As is usual with Beats devices, they work just as well with Apple hardware as with Android devices, and there is also a dedicated app for the latter. Charging is via USB-C. As usual, the Kardashian colors are unlikely to remain in the range permanently. The new Beats Pill variants will be on sale from Friday.
