After just six months, Audi is once again revamping the base model of the Q4 e-tron. After its last introduction in summer 2024, the 35 is already history again. The new base model in both body variants of the Q4 will be the 40 e-tron. For customers, this means slightly more range, motor and charging power than in the previous entry-level model.

The improved key technical data brings the base model a little closer to the models with more power and a large battery. The electric motor has been switched to the current APP550 generation, meaning that the previous APP310 has been phased out in this Audi. It delivers 150 kW at its peak, which is enough for 8.1 seconds in the standard sprint. The top speed remains unchanged at 160 km/h. What is probably more important for most customers is that the power supply is improved. The energy content increases to 59 kWh net, the maximum DC charging power to 165 kW. The window from 10 to 80 percent should be closed in 24 minutes under ideal conditions. Excluding charging losses, this would correspond to an average charging capacity of 103 kW. The most important technical data can be found in a table on the next page of this article.

Despite higher performance, power consumption has fallen slightly in the WLTP. It is 16.5 to 18.4 kWh/100 km. In combination with the larger battery, this should be enough for up to 412 (SUV) or 423 km in the Q4 Sportback. Another new feature is that the preconditioning of the battery cells can now also be activated manually, i.e. independently of a route that has been entered. This should allow the maximum charging capacity to be used even in winter, as long as the journey to the charging station is long enough.

The new base model costs 46,150 euros, while the coupé model costs 2000  euros more. Standard features include the motorized tailgate, navigation system and heated front seats. If you want to move up a level in the hierarchy, you will have to invest at least 52,950 euros, but you will get a 210 kW motor and a 77 kWh battery that can be charged with up to 175 kW.
