iPhone 15 memory extension with screen and magnet
Not enough space in your iPhone or Apple's storage prices are too expensive for you? Zike potentially offers a remedy in the form of a USB-C attachment.

If you buy an iPhone, you have to think carefully about the amount of memory you choose – because it is well known that the devices can neither be upgraded at a later date nor do they contain slots for micro SD cards (which is no longer a trend for smartphones anyway). However, some providers do supply external solutions. The accessory specialist Zike has now done just that with the "USB-C Magnetic Extended Storage for iPhone 15" and, as far as we know, is delivering the most modern version of such hardware to date.
Small display and low weight
The device is a flat box equipped with an integrated USB-C connector. In normal use, it is simply inserted into the USB-C port of the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. An additional capacity of 128, 256 and 512 GByte or 1 TByte is then available, with a weight of less than 20 grams.
Another integrated function is a color display. This shows four values: Available memory in GBytes along with the current throughput rate, temperature and wattage used for loading. This is because the extended storage system also has a USB-C port, which can still be used for charging - with up to 27 watts (Fast Charge PD).

1 TByte version not yet available
If you don't like the idea of sticking the storage expansion under the phone, you can also place it on the back of the iPhone using an additional redirection cable supplied. An integrated magnet is used for this purpose, which does not have MagSafe certification (at least at present), but should hold well according to the manufacturer. The transfer rate should be sufficient to record ProRes videos in 4K at 60 Hz. This is particularly interesting in iOS 18, as it will then be possible to write content directly to USB-C media - even from camera apps. Until then, you can access the contents of the Extended Storage box via the Files app, among other things.
Zike is selling the USB-C Magnetic Extended Storage for iPhone 15 for just under 60, 75, 94 and 122 euros respectively, whereby these are entry-level offers and the prices will be increased slightly later (it is unclear exactly when). The 128, 256 and 512 GByte versions are available immediately, the 1 TByte version is currently not. Postage and any customs duties must be added to the prices. Delivery comes from China, so it will take a while.
