MacBook Pro M4: Further astonishment over possible leak
Is Apple's latest MacBook really already available from black marketeers in the Russian Federation? There is new evidence.

The case of the MacBook Pro M4, which may have been leaked in advance, has been enriched by another episode: a user is said to have tried to sell such a model via a Russian classifieds platform – for 720,000 roubles, which is currently just under 6800 euros. Although the entry on the eBay-like website Avito.ru can no longer be found, it was spread via social media. The details correspond to those that have been doing the rounds for some time.
First just the packaging, then the whole Mac
Initially, the packaging of the as yet unreleased computer was leaked at the end of September –. Among other things, the sticker revealed that the basic model allegedly has 16 GB of RAM for the first time – and that it can also be configured in "Space Black". A week later, an "unboxing" of this machine was distributed by a Russian YouTuber, followed a little later by a YouTube short video in which the "About this Mac" screen could also be seen.

Now the listing on the Russian marketplace, in which the packaging, the device itself and other information were also published. The X user who distributed the entry also wrote that there appeared to be several offers. Avito allegedly deleted the entries because "non-existent products" are not officially allowed to be sold there.
If true, it would be the biggest leak since the iPhone 4
If the sticker leak, the YouTube videos (which are still online, by the way) and the Avito listing really are real devices, this would be a massive leak for Apple, the likes of which have not been seen for a long time. The company simply does not experience such "stock outflows". In 2010, an iPhone 4 prototype was left in a pub, which then led to pre-releases. But there has never been anything similar since. Although hardware details often leak out, entire devices simply do not escape thanks to Apple's tough security measures.
The computers are likely to come directly from China, where production is currently underway – Apple plans to unveil new devices at the end of the month. Other new features of the MacBook Pro M4 base model include three Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of two, which should support more screens. According to Geekbench, the MacBook Pro M4 is on a par with the iPad Pro M4.
